The Aneth Community Development Corporation (CDC) of Montezuma Creek, UT, is an emerging Native CDFI incorporated in 2004. The awardeea€™s mission is to foster community development and economic prosperity by establishing a revolving loan fund and providing long-term technical assistance to Native American small business clients in the seven Utah Chapters of the Navajo Nation. The Aneth CDC plans to dedicate a majority of its assets and staff time to developing financial and development services related to financing small business start-ups and business expansions.

NACA (2006) - $128,000

The Aneth CDC was incorporated in 2003 in cooperation with the Aneth Regional Business Development Office of the Division of Economic Development of the Navajo Nation as a Native CDFI. It will primarily serve the seven Navajo Chapters located in San Juan County, Utah. The $128,000 NACA TA grant will allow Aneth CDC to continue working toward CDFI certification by hiring a Business Coach and developing their business and financial education development services.



NACA (2005) - $130,000

The Awardee has been granted a technical assistance grant through the 2005 Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) Program in the amount of $70,000 to facilitate the awardee"s development of a revolving loan fund to finance Native entrepreneurs and small business owners. Lake & Peninsula BDC will use the grant to: (1) acquire consulting services to develop loan policies and procedures, a product feasibility analysis, and a capitalization plan; (2) purchase computer hardware and software; (3) acquire training for staff and board members related to CDFI development and management; and (4) support operations.
