The Intermountain Tribal Alliance (ITA) of Salt Lake City, UT is a nonprofit corporation devoted to the economic and cultural development of Native American peoples in the United States.

CDFI Awards for Intermountain Tribal Alliance


NACA (2005) - $95,000

Chartered in 2000 in the State of Utah, ITA proposes to use its technical assistance grant of $95,000 from the 2005 Native American CDFI Assistance Program to create a CDFI focusing on community development venture capital. This Native CDFI will provide seed money in the form of equity while bringing real understanding of tribal-owned company best practice using the prototype developed with the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation in Utah. The technical assistance grant will be used to (1) acquire consulting services to develop policies and procedures and technical assistance documents; (2) purchase hardware and software; (3) obtain training for staff and board members on community development venture capital investing; and (4) support operations in the form of a contract with Northwestern Band
