Northampton Police Obtains State Grant for Pedestrian Safety

The Northampton Police Department received a $3,000 state grant to improve police patrols and education around pedestrian and traffic safety.


The grant, which will be used to purchase equipment such as crosswalk signs, will also allow the police to make civilians understand about co-existence. Everybody needs to be aware of what everybody else is doing, so nobody gets hurt, said Sergeant Bob Powers.
