Latino Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. with the primary mission of promoting sustainable economic communities. LEDC serves Latino individuals and businesses throughout Washington D.C. and currently provides micro-enterprise loans to Latino businesses for working capital, equipment, etc. LEDC is proposing to expand its Micro-Loan Fund and offer other new products.

The Latino Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is a certified CDFI established in 1991 to improve the wealth-building capacity of low- and moderate-income Latinos and other underserved populations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. LEDC provides small business micro-loans, homeownership counseling, and organizing services to preserve affordable housing. LEDC will use the FY08 Financial Assistance award of $495,500 as lending capital and the FY08 Technical Assistance grant of $99,550 to hire a new Loan Officer to help LEDC expand further into DC’s suburbs, especially Virginia.



TA (2003) - $50,000

LEDC has been awarded a $50,000 Technical Assistance grant to acquire consulting services to: conduct a market analysis; update loan & risk mitigation policies; new product development; and market survey design & development.
