National Housing Trust Community Development Fund (NHTCDF) was created to provide financial assistance in the form of below market rate loans to qualified, resident supported, nonprofit housing development corporations for predevelopment costs and bridge financing associated with the purchase of affordable, federally subsidized multifamily housing properties.

CDFI Awards for National Housing Trust Community Development Fund


FA (2007) - $478,569

National Housing Trust Community Development Fund is a certified CDFI established in 1997. It provides loans to entities developing or rehabilitating affordable housing. The CDFI will use its FY07 FA award for lending and its TA award for staff training and loan management software.



FA (2006) - $500,000

National Housing Trust Community Development Fund (NHTCDF) is a certified CDFI established in 1997. NHTCDF provides loans that support the preservation and improvement of rental homes for low-income residents across the United States. NHTCDF will use the 2006 Financial Assistance Award of $500,000 to capitalize its loan fund, leverage additional private investments, and achieve steady growth.



FA (2005) - $348,323

NHTCDF will use the 2005 financial assistance award of $348,323 to make loans and provide development services that will support the preservation and rehabilitation of 1,040 affordable homes for low income populations. NHTCDF will use the 2005 technical assistance grant of $9,400 to purchase computer hardware, software, presentation technology and training.



CORE (2002) - $1,000,000

Funding from the CDFI Fund ($200,000 grant and $800,000 loan) will support predevelopment loans and interim development loans designed to facilitate the creation of affordable housing.
