D.C. Housing Enterprises (DCHE) is an affiliate of the District of Columbia Housing Authority. It will use its NMTC investments to finance commercial real estate for community facilities and retail development in and around the HOPE VI sites. In addition, DCHE will fund the development of ownership housing affordable to low- and very-low income households through tenant-owned housing cooperatives and fee-simple ownership development that is part of a larger District sponsored redevelopment. DCHE will use leveraged A and B notes, combining flexible financing, low interest rates and debt with equity features.
