TA (2008) - $97,728

Arcata Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is a nonprofit loan fund in operation since 1978 AEDC provides micro-loans to small businesses and residents in economically disadvantaged communities in rural Northern California The FY08 Technical Assistance grant will be used to: 1) cover the salary of a new staff; 2) engage a consultant to conduct a market analysis; 3) cover the startup costs of a new office; and 4) purchase materials and equipment for the new office.



TA (2005) - $36,060

AEDC will use the 2005 TA grant of $36,060 as follows: 1) consulting services to create electronic files from existing paper-based files including data entry and document scanning; 2) purchase document scanning and management software; and 3) purchase presentation technology.



TA (2004) - $28,500

Arcata Economic Development Corporation is receiving the award for the purpose of enhancing its risk management policies, purchasing portfolio monitoring software, obtaining staff training in underwriting, and conducting board development.



TA (2003) - $50,000

AEDC received a CDFI Program Technical Assistance grant in the amount of $50,000 to obtain consulting services for the development of capitalization and strategic plans and website design; technology equipment for staff; and staff training in community development lending and software application.
