Joliet Park District to Purchase a 108 Acres Land

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources awarded the Joliet Park District with Open Space Land Acquisition and Development Grant worth $542,200.


According to the superintendent of Pilcher Park Nature Center, Debbie Greene, the grant will allow the district to purchase the third largest parcel of land in the Kendall County portion, behind Pilcher and Inwood parks that is 108 acres in size.
