Marion Receives $340,000 for Fairfield Site Cleanup

The City of Marion received a $340,589 grant, a part of the Clean Ohio Council's $6 million in Clean Ohio Revitalization grants for five projects statewide.


The grant will help cover costs associated with demolition and renovation of the former Fairfield Engineering site. After the cleanup, development partner Carksco Properties LLC plans to redevelop the property for industrial use and remove abandoned, dilapidated structures while improving those still doable for warehousing and manufacturing.
