Gateway Cities Education Entrusts State Grant to Lowell Public Schools

Agency - Gateway Cities Education Agenda

Through Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick's Gateway Cities education agenda, a $365,000 in grant funding is given to Lowell public schools to develop summer English enrichment programs and a career academy for students.


The summer program will serve 400 English Language Learners (ELL) Enrichment Academy students five days a week. The Academy will be working along with the district's current summer-school program.
