Krape Park Gets Improvements from State Grant

Krape Park in Freeport grabs its share of the $15.3 million Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development program grants for park enhancements and other upgrades that adhere with the Americans with Disabilities Act.


The cost of the project is approximately valued at $974,000. Krape Park is a regional hang-out place for those who want a not-so-ordinary recreation experience. Freeport Park District Executive Director Jack Carey mentioned that the district residents could use park amenities in an effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
