Open Space Grant to Preserve Family-Owned Cheshire Site

A state grant is projected to assist in the preservation of Cheshire town’s open space on the Prospect town line owned by the Puchalski family of Mountain Road.


To date, the town is in negotiations with the Puchalski family to purchase the property. The town is hoping to have the $200,000 state grant that will be able to obtain the Puchalski property. The space is home to protected species and reveals a pond and running streams.
