The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) is a certified CDFI that was established in 1991 and provides financial and technical assistance to help communities provide supportive housing for the homeless in nine states.

FA (2009) - $2,000,000

Corporation for Supportive Housing is a certified CDFI established in 1991. The CDFI provides loans, grants, training, technical assistance, and policy work to spur the creation of housing with integrated support services for tenants with complex needs. The Corporation for Supportive Housing will use its FY2009 Financial Assistance award as lending capital for new permanent supportive housing developments and loan loss reserves.



FA (2008) - $1,000,000

Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) is a certified CDFI established in 1991. The awardee is the only national CDFI intermediary providing early-stage, predevelopment, and acquisition lending products for the supportive housing of homeless families or individuals with special needs. It is experiencing unprecedented demand for its products and will use the 2008 Financial Assistance award of $1,000,000 as lending capital and loan loss reserves for its existing financial products.



FA (2005) - $1,398,750

CSH will use the 2005 FA grant of $1,398,750 to 1) meet increasing demand for its lending products, 2) reduce geographic restrictions on lending, 3) replenish its loan loss reserve and 4) reduce the cost of borrowed capital to free-up more funds for lending activities.



FA (2004) - $2,000,000

The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) will use the award to expand their market from eight to 14 states and help to develop or rehab 240 affordable housing units during the performance period. CSH will continue to demonstrate that supportive housing development should and can be a readily used response to long-term homelessness.

TA (2004) - $91,653

The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) will use the award to obtain consulting services to design two new loan funds, lending policies and procedures for these funds, and the development of new software to manage the funds.

CORE (1999) - $2,000,000

It will use its $2,000,000 capital grant from the CDFI Fund to create the Catalyst Loan Fund, which will provide site-acquisition loans to non-profit supportive housing developers in New York City for the purchase of privately-owned properties.



CORE (1998) - $1,800,000

The CDFI Fund"s $1,800,000 capital grant will be used to provide financing and technical assistance to support the development of supportive housing for families. It will also provide financing to business ventures started by supportive housing developers for the purpose of employing and training supportive housing tenants and other low-income individuals.
