Canton Appeals for State Grant to Extend Bike Path

Agency - State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection

Canton Township is seeking for a state grant approval of $290,962 to pay for the costs of extending a bike trail.


The grant is funded by the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. If approved, the grant would be used to develop an on- and off-road bike route that links to an existing route in Simsbury.

Sustainable Principles for an Innovating Nigeria


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) released the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles, an agreement signed by 34 banks, including the original eight of the nation’s leading banks, that covered nine key areas: environmental and social risk management, environmental and social footprint, human rights, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, environmental and social governance, capacity building, collaborative partnerships and reporting.
