Stratford Scores $135,000 State Grant to Help with School Security

The Town of Stratford has been given a $135,000 state grant by the state of Connecticut to pay for implementing recommended security improvements from the State Police security assessment of schools in Stratford.


Stratford is one of the 169 schools in 36 districts to receive funds in the first round of the Competitive Grant Program for school security, which is part of the Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety Act.
