Newington Property Gleans $2 Million State Grant for Property Redevelopment
Agency - Department of Economic and Community DevelopmentA $2 million brownfield grant is bestowed to Newington for the demolition, razing and clean up of the National Welding factory, a former metal fabricating plant.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy of Connecticut called the grants "an important part of his administration's economic development strategy". A CTfastrak, a bus rapid transit line, will be developed on the site.
