MHIC NE New Markets CDE I LLC (MHIC CDE) will be targeting business and real estate projects in six New England states that will maximize job creation, encourage private investment, initiate or accelerate community revitalization, and increase economic opportunity for low-income persons and low-income community residents. MHIC CDE will provide a package of financing (debt, subordinate debt and/or equity) to fill feasibility gaps of 22% to 40% of project costs with patient capital. The NMTC allocation will allow it to expand its product offerings to include a new business loan program to finance the start up and expansion needs of businesses located in distressed communities.
