Banco BuenaVentura is a for-profit bank that began operating in November, 2008. Banco BuenaVentura is an emerging CDFI that provides affordable housing and business loans targeted to the Hispanic community in Oxnard, California. It will use its Technical Assistance award for staff salaries and to develop and operate a microlending program. Specifically, the funding will be used to engage a consultant to help design the microlending program and for the CDFI to develop marketing materials for outreach.
