Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC), of Ventura CA, is a subsidiary of Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation. Its mission is to increase home ownership opportunities for low income and minority families in Ventura County. VCCDC and its parent offer pre-purchase education, individual counseling, purchase assistance, and mortgage packaging for low income, Afro-American and Latino families.

A Technical Assistance Award of $63,682 will assist in the purchase of new loan servicing technology and training. It will also support collaboration with a partner organization that will assist VCCDC in its efforts to become a 1st mortgage lender.

Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC) seeks to expand their services into direct lending of second mortgages and subordinated debt, in order to help the families of their target market leverage their resources into home ownership. The award will help to support this expansion by providing funding for a marketing study, product development, computing systems, and training for Board and staff in loan fund operations.
