CDFI Awards for Northern California Community Loan Fund
FA (2009) - $2,000,000
Northern California Community Loan Fund is a certified CDFI established in 1987. It provides loans and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations serving low-income communities throughout Northern California, particularly affordable housing developers and human service organizations. Northern California Community Loan Fund will use its FY 2009 Financial Assistance award for capital reserves and also to increase technical assistance to small community organizations.
NMTC (2009) - $18,000,000
Northern California Community Loan Fund (NCCLF) is a CDFI that provides loan capital and financial expertise to nonprofits serving low-income communities in the 46 northernmost counties of California. NCCLF will use its NMTC Allocation to finance the development of non-profit facility projects in low-income communities. NCCLF will make larger, longer-term, and more affordable loans that will benefit projects such as community centers, health clinics, substance abuse programs, arts/cultural programs, after-school programs, child care, senior services -- services that support and sustain residents of low-income neighborhoods.
FA (2008) - $830,000
Northern California Community Loan Fund (NCCLF) is a certified CDFI established in 1987. NCCLF provides loans and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations serving low-income communities throughout Northern California, particularly affordable housing developers and human service organizations. NCCLF will use the FY08 Financial Assistance award of $830,000 as financing capital for a new equity-like loan product for affordable housing and facilities projects.
NMTC (2008) - $21,000,000
Northern California Community Loan Fund (NCCLF) will use its NMTC allocation to provide funds for the development of non-profit facility projects such as community centers, health clinics, substance abuse programs, community arts programs, after-school programs, child care, and senior services; as well as to provide financial counseling services to nonprofits that serve low-income clients. To accomplish this, NCCLF will offer interest rates that are well below market, with flexible, equity-like terms. The residual equity of the NMTC allocation will be used by NCCLF to help more organizations through its financial management and counseling services, which assist nonprofits to develop and maintain their facilities.
FA (2007) - $954,500
Northern California Community Loan Fund (NCCLF) is a certified CDFI established in 1987. NCCLF makes loans and provides financial training to organizations that develop affordable housing, community facilities, job-training programs, and vital human services throughout Northern California. NCCLF will use its FY07 FA award to underwrite loans; its TA award for website development.
FA (2005) - $1,404,108
NCCLF will use the 2005 financial assistance award of $1,404,108 and to 1) increase lending capital; 2) offer new loan products; 3) expand development services. The technical assistance grant will help NCCLF in their efforts to purchase, install and customize new portfolio management and data information systems.
FA (2003) - $800,000
NCCLF is being awarded $800,000 in financial assistance to support the continuation of its Nonprofit Space Capital Fund through which subordinated investments and technical assistance is provided to nonprofits that are seeking to acquire or expand their program and office space. Approximately 59% of the financial assistance will support projects in Hot Zones.
CORE (2002) - $350,000
. NCCLF will use its grant of $350,000.00 from the CDFI Fund to develop a Fiscal Fitness technical assistance program, comprised of both workshops and individual organizational consulting and assessment for small and emerging community-based nonprofits in its service area.
CORE (2000) - $1,500,000
The CDFI Fund"s $1,500,000 award ($500,000 capital grant and $1,000,000 loan) will help NCCLF to increase its lending to community organizations that are providing affordable housing and vital services to the people and places not benefiting from the region"s economic boom.
CORE (1999) - $500,000
The CDFI Fund"s $500,000 capital grant will help NCCLF to expand its capacity to make loans to support affordable housing projects, community facilities, human services agencies and other non-profit organizations.
SECA (1998) - $41,000
The CDFI Fund"s $41,000 Technical Assistance grant award will be used for training staff in software applications and financial management, acquiring information technology systems and obtaining consulting services to conduct strategic planning.
