California Urban Investment Fund, LLC will make real estate loans and investments in ethnically-diverse, low-income communities in Los Angeles to finance the development of retail, industrial, mixed-use, office and for-sale housing projects. It will collaborate with local Redevelopment Agencies to ensure that its investments are part of larger redevelopment strategies. California Urban Investment Fund will also partner with local nonprofits to create comprehensive community and economic development plans that address each community’s unique social challenges. The NMTC Allocation will enable California Urban Investment Fund to offer significantly more favorable structures and terms to underserved communities than traditionally offered by the market.
