CDFI Awards for Mission Community Bancorp

Mission Community Bancorp will use the award to obtain consulting services to (1) conduct a feasibility study to offer new check cashing services at its branches, (2) develop new products and services targeted to unbanked customers, train staff on how to offer those products and services, and create a marketing and outreach program, and (3) conduct Earned Income Tax Credit outreach in Latino communities; acquire technology to improve data collection and database management; and cover staff time to launch an Individual Development Account and financial literacy program, draft new risk management policies and procedures, and implement a data collection and evaluation program.
